One young male puppy out of Champion LS Backstreet Boy and Willow's Scandalous Lily. He is well socialized , leash trained, crate trained and delightful. Needs a good home, hopefully with children. Loves attention. He is 5 months old. Parents are OFA certified.

We welcome new Champion LS Beyonce aka. Beatrice finished her Championship in record time once we started to have her shown. She is a very special dog who loves attention, gets along with all the other dogs and cats and has absolutely fantastic movement and correct structure. We plan a breeding to her and Champion LS Backstreet Boy aka Tyler this spring.

Additional Information

REGISTRATION APPLICATION: With full and limited registration, the papers are furnished at the time the puppy is purchased or as soon as the AKC has sent them to the breeder. The new owner is then responsible for sending them in to the American Kennel Club with the proper registration fee to have the puppy registered in his name. (limited registration means the puppy will not be used as a breeding dog) The AKC usually takes 4-6 weeks for each transaction.

THE COMPLETE PEMBROKE WELSH CORGIS BOOK: this book by Harper is is of great help and interest as you are learning about this lovely breed and are enjoying your new puppy. I have found the more I learn about Corgis bloodlines, the more interesting they are. If you are interested in this book, most book stores can order it for you or check on Amazon.com.

FEEDING: I have been feeding the puppies Science Diet as this is what we feed all of our dogs. This feed is excellent and is recommended by most veterinarians. Science Diet makes several different diets and prescription diets for dogs. Consult with your vet as to his or her recommendations. It is important to feed your puppy a quality food as they need proper nutrition to reach their full potential. Feed your puppy 3-4 times a day. If your puppy is eating too much, the stool will become runny instead of firm. At this point you will want to cut back on food. If your puppy gets too heavy, please cut back on his food. It is hard on dogs to be too heavy and can cause other health problems. If you make the change in your puppies diet, please do so gradually. It usually works to first add 1/4 new existing for two days, then 1/2 and 1/2 for two days, then 3/4 for two days until you get up to the total new food.

SOCIALIZATION: These puppies were born and raised in our home. All of our dogs spend a great deal of the time we are at home in the house with us. There are many reasons for having the dogs with you other than their physical well being. I feel that the first several weeks are very importnat, not only to the physical development of the puppies, but to their emotional development as well. We handle each puppy several times a day and feel that this is very necessary in their human bonding development. Your puppy can be your very best friend and loyal companion. These puppies have been played with by our grandchildren and all of our dogs love children. Remember, children too must be coached on how to handle the puppies and to be careful with them. I always make them sit down when holding them to avoid the chance of dropping them. Your puppy has no dicipline, nor has he had any leash training yet. He has been raised on papers in the puppy pen. I believe in crate training at an early age. The helps both puppy and owner. For potty training, consistency is the key- always take him out as soon as he wakes. Use the same tone of voice and the same words every time. Be patience, as they are babies. Puppies usually want to go to the bathroom shortly after they are fed and after play time. Corgis are extremely trainable and this should not take too long. Be alert to the signals they give you. If you need to bathe your puppy, use only a good quality shampoo. Do not use human products as the pH is different and can cause skin problems. Make sure the puppy is rinsed and dried thoroughly.

Thank you for your business and please contact us if we can be of any help. The saying is: You can not have just one Corgi as they are addictive. We certainly have found that to be true!

We wish you lots of happy times and special companionship with your new family member!
