We are avid horse lovers and use and ride our horses on a very frequent basis. Due to our companionship with our horses, we rarely have any offered for sale. Please enjoy our photos of our equine friends!
Plans for this year with our horses:
Laurie is returning to the show ring. I am presently searching for the right Western Pleasure horse. I plan to show on a limited basis in Western Pleasure, Trail, Showmanship and Horsemanship.
Gary has a new three year old project . We call her Holli and she is a beautiful buckskin with silver frosting. She is a Hollywood Dun It filly . Laurie felt if she was going to have a project he should too.
We will continue to have our Wednesday night riding group and have added several new members. We range in age from 7 to 75. We usually ride a couple of hours and then the highlight of the guys night we have dessert and fellowship. We ride pretty much rain or shine.
We also have several long rides planned. We will go to the Black Hills for our annual week long ride in June. That is always a highlight. We also plan to go to Medora, North Dakota for a week ride sometime in August.
Laurie hopes to maybe finally go on a wagon train ride. Gary said he might consider going if it is not too far and not too hot.
On the more local level we hit several weekend saddle club organized rides. We have been very fortunate to be able to continue to do this. On the weekends we can't get away for more than a day we camp at our private campground on our land. It is always a special time that we share and enjoy with friends and family.
We are now Great-grandparents times two. We have Baily who is two and now Aiden. We have 10 Grandchildren and several of them share our love of horses. That must be why we have so many horses still and way too many saddles. We love when the grandkids can come and ride with us.
It is a tribute to how good our horses are for our souls that keeps us riding and loving every minute of it.
